The discipline philosophy at Bonneville Elementary is based on:

        ►  Respect and trust

        ►  A positive climate

►  A simple structure of rules

        ►  Logical and realistic consequences

Challenging and exciting work is the best motivator for students. Therefore, teachers have the primary responsibility for enhancing and maintaining an effective learning climate. Our primary objective is to help students take advantage of their educational opportunities by being responsible and by allowing them to make decisions and accept the consequences of their choices. We believe that the atmosphere at Bonneville Elementary should be characterized by a respect for adults and those in authority and a reciprocal respect for the dignity and individuality of each child.

We reiterate the value and importance of our school standards:

u Respect the rights others

v Be Responsible for your own behavior

w Perform small acts of Service for those around you daily.

Success in a child's development comes through a partnership between the school, students, parents, and the community. Parents will be involved in the entire school program, including discipline and reinforcement measures that recognize or correct their child.
